Congratulations to my good friend Wayne Morgan on becoming our District Governor in Southern Wales.  I Imagine Rotary will be in good hands for the next twelve months.  As your DGE I will support you all I can.  Welcome to the DGN role to Malcolm Hallewell and the rest of the District Team.  With our leader Jennifer_Jones.pdf at the helm, it can only mean good things. #ImagineRotary  We are also super excited to have our Nicki Scott as VP.  A very exciting time for Rotary.   Good luck team Jen & Nicki from us all in Southern Wales.

From the 23rd through to the 24th of February, the Rotary in Southern Wales Tech team will play a big part in the 24-hour worldwide Rotary online event, where every hour, Rotary in different parts of the world will be following the sun showcasing projects and cultural presentations.  There are over 50 countries involved.  The event starts at 2 pm GMT in Argentina, with our presentations starting at 4 pm with contributions from Wales, Australia and New Zealand.  Followed by the Rotary Action Group for Peace at 5 pm, led by our Peace champion Alison.   Planning and preparations have been going on behind the scenes since November, so it should be good.  Join us ... Young Musician's District Final

Another very successful Rotary Young Musician district final was held on Saturday, 4th March, at Islwyn High School, Blackwood and the organisers welcomed incredibly talented young people from across Southern Wales. More is on its way!

The Mr X Team would like to thank all people who donated a gift to the Mr X Appeal in 2022. This was the lovely our 63rd year, and it was our biggest yet, with a bag of gifts being donated to over 8,000 needy children in Neath, Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthen, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Cardiff. CONGRATULATIONS To Our DGE Mary

More than 3,000 nominations, 470 Awards from across the UK, 23 from Wales and Mary is honoured by The Queen as a Platinum Jubilee Champion.  Mary was presented with her very special Platinum Champion’s Award by the Queen’s representative Sharron Lusher MBE DL, during an event with the Living Memory Group.
